History

of the Triolet Outfitter

The Domaine Poisson Blanc outfitter was built by Mr. Charbonneau himself in the early 1980s, he lived in Chalet #1 during construction, until he built the house that also serves as a reception. It was at the turn of the 2000s, after some 20 years of operation, that he put the outfitter on sale. It was bought by a French couple from the Paris region. It was in 2005, following a stay at the Domaine Poisson Blanc outfitter and the meeting of Monique and Jacques De Lavareille, owner at the time, that we fell under the charm of this majestic body of water that is the Poisson Blanc Reservoir. In the fall of 2006, we decided to acquire the outfitter after a prolific career in the field of biotechnology.

The first action as new owners was to replace the name Domaine Poisson Blanc with Le Triolet outfitter. The outfitter had to offer at the time 3 beautiful activities, fishing, hunting and resorts. One evening one of our children arrived with this little word that is ''triolet'', a group of 3 note figures (in music), it was done we had found. At the time, no cottage was winterized, every fall we would return home on the south shore of Montreal to St-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

It is in 2013-14 that things will change radically. Being very happy in our new lifestyle, we sold the house of St-Jean to come live full time in Notre-Dame-du-Laus. We began the construction of 2 high-capacity luxury cottages, renovated the reception area and the house, and built a garage to serve as storage and repair shop.

In 2021, in order to provide the best service to our clients, we decided to refurbish the outfitter and make a green shift with the renovation of cottages and septic systems and the addition of electric motor boats.
